About Dallas
The Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) area is home to more than five million people and is
one of the fastest growing regions in the country. Dallas boasts a historic
past and a progressive future and has more restaurants per capita than New York
City.
Fort Worth is as well known for its cultural attractions (the stunning Bass
Performance Hall, three great museums, the handsome botanical gardens and a
first-class zoo) as it is for honky-tonks like Billy Bob's or its renovated,
frontier-era Stockyards. That may be a mixed message, but that's just the way
Fort Worth likes it.
Bedford is near Arlington, which is right in the middle of Dallas and Ft. Worth.
Arlington is the home of family fun such as Six Flags Over Texas, The Ballpark
in Arlington and Hurricane Harbor water park. For further information, visit
www.ci.bedford.tx.us.
Plano, located 20 miles north of downtown Dallas, began as a farming and
ranching community in the mid 1800s and has become one of the fastest growing
cities in Texas and the United States. In January 2004, CNN Money designated
Plano its top place to live in the Western United States (cities over 100,000).
Plano is widely acknowledged as the "Balloon Capital of Texas" with hot-air
balloon races scheduled the last weekend of September. For further information,
