Placement is the process by which the LDP candidate secures a position after successful completion of the program. Primary ownership of placement rests with each candidate. Candidates, however, have a wide variety of resources that enable them to have tremendous influence on the post-program placement. Examples of resources assisting program participants are:

The rotational assignments greatly impacted my placement in the company providing an opportunity to increase my skill set and to network with those in a position to offer a placement within their division. I definitely still leverage the lessons learned from my rotations in my current role with the company. I probably would not be in the position I am in within the company if not for the LDP. The program afforded me the opportunity to get my foot in the door of four different divisions and, consequently, to meet the people within the AEGON companies who could serve as coaches and mentors to assist me in my personal and career growth.
